September 16 Crossing America
I did as much posting as I could today in the journal but still several days
behind as you will see when open Sept. 14 and 15 have only from where to whereand miles ridden posted. Sorry to disappoint you and myself as I wanted to get totally caught up. I can tell you I spent over 10 hours writing today. I took an hour break to take my bike to Roger, a former bike repairman who is a weather Meteorologist for his real job. He was kind enough to adjust
my rear break and clean the drivetrain all at no charge, just wanted to help
this Old Guy be able to complete his journey Crossing America, when the local
bicycle shop didn’t have time for me. Thank you Roger I really was in a jam. Oh yea, I did stop for meals, too. It’s now almost 10 PM and I still need to shower and pack my gear for a long ride tomorrow, going to make it all the way
to Jacksonville, about 75 miles from here, as I have a place to stay with some
kind folks who have invited me into their home.

September 17, 2011Hey Frank, hoping and praying you are still doing well. Thanks for the kind words and good time together as you got started up the East Coast. Now I hope you are doing well and your indomitable spirit keeps you rolling to Richmond. See you there. Mark

September 17, 2011Hi Mark! Thank you for all the help, I greatly appreciated it. More I appreciated getting to know you even better than when we did the Trans-Am. Hope the visit with your daughter went well. I’m doing fine and have had some great experiences meeting new friends. See you in Richmond. Frank
